First Home Owners Grant.

In Australia people who are wanting to purchase their 1st property can receive a grant of $7,000.00 to help towards their first home loan.

The grant is given to any Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen who qualifies by the standard’s of each individual State and Territories.

The First Home Owner Grant is a national scheme and is administered by each states own legislation..The First Home Owner Grant was introduced into Australia on 1 July 2000 to offset the effect of the GST on home ownership.

Examples…

  • You and your spouse/partner must not have received a grant in any State or Territory of Australia.
  • You and your spouse/partner must not have owned residential property in any State or Territory of Australia.
  • You must be a natural person (not a company) and at least 18 years of age at the time of settlement or completion of construction.
